One of a Kind Show – Vancouver, Dec. 8-11
After Toronto we will be back in Vancouver for the One of a Kind Show December 8-11 at the new Trade and Convention Centre. This is our fourth year participating in One of a Kind in Vancouver and we always have a great time meeting new and existing customers and catching up with other exhibitors here in Vancouver. Needless to say, on more than one occassion we’ve been known to do a massive Christmas shop at these shows…… that seems to end up being more for ourselves!
It’s fun to enjoy an evening at the show with a friend followed by a gorgeous cocktail and tapas at the nearby Lobby Lounge and Terrace in the Fairmont Pacific Rim.

Faves at the OOAK show in Toronto
During the 5 days we participated at the One of a Kind show, we had a chance to have a little peruse at the work of some of the other artists and designers at the show. We can’t leave without a little something.
We both purchased a scarf by textile designers Lysanne Latulippe and Meghan Price of String Theory – Booth V-51. Their products are made with top quality textiles, feel soft and warm and are timeless investment pieces you will enjoy for many years. These scarves are gifts to us from Lemon Park and are going under the tree until Christmas.
HOI BO has carefully designed satchels created and designed by Sarra Tang. The satchels are made using leather and dry and wet wax fibre and are made in small lots. Booth – G-35.
Last year we purchased a few great pieces from Rachel.f., from Montreal. Rachel Fortin designs accessories using leather and recycled fur – a great use for fur that is wrapped in a protective cover in the closet. She reuses the fur by designing modern purses, hats, and scarves. Booth – V-37.
Another favourite of ours is designer Claudia Schultz. She creates unique modern hats, with refined details, in striking colours that look stunning. Claudia’s easy to wear pieces are designed and created here in Vancouver and are beautifully made. Well worth checking out. Booth - F-13.

One of a Kind Show – Toronto, Nov. 24-28
Come down and visit us at the One of a Kind Show. We arrived last Tuesday and are having a great time reuniting with returning customers who are coming to our booth to say ‘Hi’. Like last year we are participating for the first 5 days of the show only – November 24-28. We are at booth P – 39 at The Direct Energy Centre. Tania and I are showing a little more restraint with our purchasing this year but there are some amazing designers and artists here. It’s tempting. Trunk Show at Ziliotto – Toronto
We met Jennifer and Bruno last year at the One of a Kind Show and are pleased to be selling Lemon Park jewellery in Ziliotto. We think our designs complement Jennifer’s chic yet easy to wear designs beautifully. Together with Jennifer, we thought that while Tania and I were in Toronto, it would be fun to have a Trunk Show at Ziliotto on Danforth.
So on November 23, 6-9pm come to Ziliotto on Danforth and be the first to see the new pieces we will be showing at this year’s One of Kind Show. Zilliotto – 1769 Av Danforth, 416.694-7219.

Crackerjack 2011 – West Vancouver, November 11-13

Trunk Show at Walrus Oct. 5, 6-9pm
Come to a jewellery trunk show October 5 at WALRUS – 3408 Cambie Street 6-9pm. We will be showing some of our new resin designs and oxidized silver jewellery. There will also other local jewellery designers participating in the trunk show. It will be fun evening.

Unite with Art – June 18
Join us for a fun evening while raising money for UNICEF Canada. Unite with Art is a contemporary art auction and gala June 18 at the Rocky Mountaineer Station. Regional and National artists and designers have donated pieces for the event and over the past three years have raised over $700,000 for UNICEF Canada. We are participating in INDULGE at the Bellevue Arts Mueum in Bellevue, Washington. The show features 25 wearable art jewellery designers from New York to LA and………Vancouver! This is a great opportunity to see striking original collections from a a diverse group of artists.

‘Art of Adornment’ Exhibition Dec. 4
We are participating in the ‘Art of Adornment’ exhibition along with Joanna Lovett and Wendy Scott at the Van Dop Gallery in New Westminister. This exhibition is part of the ‘Spirit of the Season’ Collection showcasing work from many Canadian artists in all media – ceramic, glass, wood, metal, fibre and painting.
